From BIRTV 2026 to IBC Amsterdam: DIGITALFOTO Is Evolving from Products to Creative Workflows

The 2026 BIRTV exhibition in Beijing offered a revealing snapshot of where the professional imaging industry is heading.

Across cameras, lenses, lighting, audio, stabilization, monitoring and creator tools, one shift was increasingly visible:

the industry is moving beyond isolated product upgrades toward more integrated workflows and ecosystems.

Professional cameras continue to become more capable. Compact cameras are entering increasingly serious production environments. AI and mobile devices are changing the boundaries between traditional production and creator-led content. At the same time, filmmakers are asking a more practical question:

How can all of these technologies work together without making production more complicated?

That question is becoming increasingly important to DIGITALFOTO as well.

BIRTV 2026: From Better Equipment to Better Workflows

BIRTV 2026 brought together more than 500 companies across the professional broadcast, film and imaging industries, including more than 200 international exhibitors.

The exhibition reflected several important developments across the industry:

  • cinema and broadcast cameras continue to increase in image quality and performance;

  • professional production is becoming more modular and interconnected;

  • compact cameras and creator tools are moving closer to traditional professional workflows;

  • stabilization is evolving from simply stabilizing the camera toward reducing physical workload for the operator;

  • automated and repeatable camera movement is becoming more accessible to smaller studios and content teams;

  • surrounding ecosystems are becoming almost as important as the core camera itself.

For DIGITALFOTO, these trends closely reflect the direction in which we have already been developing.

At BIRTV 2026, two examples attracted particular attention.

The upgraded THANOS-PROCINE ELITE represents our continued exploration of professional body-mounted camera support. Rather than focusing only on stabilization, the system addresses operator fatigue, payload distribution and long-duration shooting.

Meanwhile, V360EVO-PRO expands our motion-control concept for commercial product shooting by combining 360-degree object rotation with scanning-style camera movement, creating repeatable visual movement for product videos and e-commerce content.

These are very different products.

But the thinking behind them is increasingly similar.

We are no longer thinking only about the piece of equipment.
We are thinking about the person, the workflow and the shooting environment around it.

The Next Stage of DIGITALFOTO

DIGITALFOTO began by developing practical accessories and support equipment for photographers and videographers.

As the company has grown internationally, our understanding of the market has also changed.

Today, we see DIGITALFOTO less as a company producing individual camera accessories and more as a visual-production technology brand developing tools and ecosystems around real-world creative workflows.

Our product development is increasingly centered around three principles.

1. Efficiency

A good production tool should reduce unnecessary work.

That may mean:

  • less time adjusting equipment;

  • faster setup and breakdown;

  • easier transportation;

  • reduced physical strain;

  • fewer adapters and temporary solutions;

  • more repeatable shooting results.

This philosophy can be seen in products ranging from our IRON damping arms to production carts, camera-support systems and creator accessories.

2. Modularity

Modern production environments are rarely fixed.

A monitor mount may need to work on a camera today and a production cart tomorrow.

A cart may begin as transportation equipment and become a DIT workstation on location.

A battery handle may eventually need to support power, audio, mounting and additional accessories.

For this reason, more DIGITALFOTO products are now being developed as platforms rather than isolated products.

The IRON series is one example.

What started as a damping magic arm is gradually developing into a mounting ecosystem incorporating quick-release interfaces, clamps, NATO solutions, monitor mounts and other production accessories.

Our TITAN-LITE and XC-904 cart families follow the same direction, with accessories designed to adapt the platform to different production roles.

3. Creator-Centered Design

Perhaps the biggest change in our thinking is that product development increasingly begins with the creator rather than the specification sheet.

Instead of asking:

“What additional feature can we add?”

we prefer to ask:

“What is making this workflow harder than it needs to be?”

Sometimes the answer is physical fatigue.

Sometimes it is setup time.

Sometimes it is limited battery endurance.

Sometimes it is difficult rigging.

Sometimes it is simply too much equipment surrounding the creator.

The product should exist because it solves one of those problems.

Our Product Direction Is Becoming Broader — but More Connected

DIGITALFOTO today serves a wider range of users than in the past.

Our customers increasingly include:

Cinematographers and Camera Operators

Products such as THANOS-PROCINE ELITE focus on professional stabilization, body support and demanding cinema-camera workflows.

Camera Assistants, DITs and Production Crews

TITAN-LITE, XC-series production carts, mounting accessories and rigging systems help crews organize equipment and build more efficient working environments.

Videographers and Commercial Filmmakers

IRON damping arms, DJI RS solutions, vehicle-shooting systems and other support products are designed around faster, more flexible production.

Product Studios and E-Commerce Content Teams

The V360 family provides repeatable motion tools for commercial product photography and video.

Independent Creators and Small Production Teams

Compact cameras such as Osmo Pocket and Insta360 products are becoming increasingly capable.

Our PBH battery-handle family, Luna accessories and other compact-camera solutions bring more traditional production thinking — power, audio, mounting and expandability — into these smaller systems.

These audiences may use very different cameras.

But they often share the same expectations:

equipment should be reliable, intuitive, flexible and quick to use.

From Professional Cinema to the Creator Economy

One of the most important changes in the imaging industry is that the line between “professional filmmaker” and “content creator” is becoming less rigid.

A cinematographer may use an ARRI or Sony cinema camera on one project and an Osmo Pocket on another.

A commercial studio may use a traditional cinema setup for a campaign while using compact automated systems to produce daily social content.

A creator working alone may now need tools that previously belonged only to larger production crews.

For DIGITALFOTO, this does not mean abandoning the professional market.

It means applying professional workflow thinking to a wider range of creators and cameras.

That is why our portfolio now extends from:

professional body-support systems,

to camera carts,

to mounting ecosystems,

to DJI RS solutions,

to automated product-shooting systems,

to Pocket and Insta360 accessories.

The products are different.

The underlying purpose is increasingly the same:

remove friction between the creator and the image.

An Upgrade in Brand Positioning

This evolution is also changing the way we define DIGITALFOTO as a brand.

In the past, people may have known us primarily as a manufacturer of photography and video accessories.

Going forward, we want DIGITALFOTO to represent something broader:

A global visual-production technology brand that understands both equipment and the people using it.

Our goal is not simply to create more SKUs.

It is to build meaningful product families around production problems.

We want to move gradually:

from accessories to systems,
from individual products to ecosystems,
from specifications to workflows,
and from supporting equipment to supporting creators.

This does not mean every product needs to become complicated.

In fact, we believe the opposite.

As production technology becomes more powerful, good tools should feel simpler.

The technology can become more sophisticated.

The experience should become more natural.

Our Global Market

DIGITALFOTO has always been international in outlook.

Our users include filmmakers, videographers, photographers, rental companies, production studios, content creators, distributors and industry partners across multiple markets.

Europe remains especially important to us because it brings together a mature professional cinema and broadcast industry, strong rental and production communities, and a rapidly changing creator market.

That is one reason IBC continues to be an important event for DIGITALFOTO.

Looking Forward

The imaging industry is changing quickly.

AI is changing content production.

Smaller cameras are becoming more capable.

Production teams are becoming leaner.

Creators are expected to produce more content in less time.

At the same time, the fundamental needs of creators have not changed very much.

They still need equipment that helps them:

move more freely,
work more efficiently,
carry less unnecessary burden,
solve problems faster,
and stay focused on the image.

That is where we believe DIGITALFOTO can continue to create value.

The next stage of the brand is not simply about making stronger equipment.

It is about understanding the complete creative process better.

Support the camera.
Support the workflow.
Support the creator.

We look forward to continuing that conversation at IBC 2026 in Amsterdam.
